Blog #58: Adjusting the Glasses for the Film

Hey everyone, Adrian here! We’ve made a small but important adjustment to the costumes for Fading Into You—specifically, the glasses we planned for the beach scene.

Originally, the idea was for both Adrian and Tati to wear clear glasses in the present-day beach scene to symbolize how their styles had blended over time. However, there’s been a change—Tati’s clear glasses are nowhere to be found.She last used them around seven months ago and hasn’t been able to track them down. Not sure why we didn’t double-check earlier, but here we are.

The New Plan

Instead of scrambling to find a replacement, we’re adjusting the look:

• Adrian will wear his clear glasses throughout the entire opening film instead of switching between black and clear.
• Tati will stick with her leopard-print glasses instead of switching to clear ones in the present scene.

It’s a small shift, but it actually works well since Tati’s distinct glasses will now serve as a recognizable trait throughout the film.

What’s Next?

So yes, as talked about already in previous blogs, we still don’t have a definitive answer for scrapping the school scene, but it’s definitely still in talks. However, this weekend’s filming sessions for the marine scene on Saturday and the mall scene on Sunday are still locked in. Stay tuned for more updates!
