Hey everyone, Adrian here again! Filming for The Edit – News Report is officially done, and I’m excited to share that most of what we planned was successfully captured. It was a fun and productive session, even with a few small changes along the way.
What Stayed the Same
Just like we planned, Tatiana took the lead as the interviewer, delivering the questions smoothly. I stayed in the frame the entire time, hands in my hoodie pockets, rocking the DIY sunglasses with the creepy Foxy plushie eyes. Savannah handled the recording for most of the session, ensuring all the shots were steady and clean, while Amaris held the laptop behind the scenes so Tatiana could easily refer to the questions. The teamwork really paid off, and we’re excited about the footage we’ve captured.
What Changed
The biggest change was that Mr. Melton couldn’t make it to the interviews. Luckily, we had Mr. Valdez, my history teacher, step in instead. For the student interviews, we featured my cousin Emmanuel, Kevin Hernandez, and Angelo. They brought great energy and perspectives, well for the most part at least since my cousin didn’t even know what was going on, I just dragged him from his group of friends and told him he was being interviewed, He’s still making it to the final cut.
Savannah also took on a new role at the start of the video, where she explained the overview concepts of financial wellbeing. Her segment introduces the topic clearly and sets the tone for the rest of the news report, adding a polished and professional touch.
Sneak Peek: “One Dollar or Interview?”
As part of the fun twist we added, I asked each interviewee, “One dollar or interview?” while holding up the rack of $100 prop bills. Their reactions were priceless, and we’ve compiled a sneak peek of these moments to give you a little taste of the humor in the video. It’s definitely worth checking out!
Next Steps: Editing Time!
Now that filming is complete, I’m diving into the editing process. This is where everything comes together—piecing and cutting the clips and fine-tuning the transitions. I’m especially excited to see how the comedic moments and insightful interviews blend to create an engaging report.
Final Thoughts
I’m proud of the work we’ve done as a team, and I can’t wait to share the finished product. Don’t miss the next blog, where I’ll share some funny behind-the-scenes clips and possible cut content that didn’t make it into the final video. Stay tuned for all the fun and a unique take on financial wellbeing!
