Hey everyone, Adrian here again! As we move closer to completing our final project, I’m excited to share the decisions we’ve made and the vision behind our work. From the people I’m collaborating with to the genre we’re exploring, this project has been a mix of creativity, learning, and teamwork
Collaborators
For this upcoming project, I’m working with the same people that have helped out on previous mini projects. Tatiana of course taking the role of acting, alongside with me acting as well, Savana doing the camera works. This might not be final; however it is an idea of what we might have planned as it has been like that for the past projects and might not need a change.
Media Learning Journey
Throughout this whole process so far, I’ve learned so much about media production and have had a lot of fun. From me going back into experimenting with CapCut again to understanding how sound and visuals work together to tell a story, this journey has pushed my skills further than I expected. Before my media learning journey, I have always wanted to become a youtuber with extreme levels of editing skills, I would always have at least one project of my own around every 4 months. And with this media learning journey. I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for how small details like lighting, color, sound effects video clips being cut short, and how precise one has to be when using a editing element, can completely change the mood and impact of a scene.
Genre and Project Vision
Now here comes the fun part, we’ve been deciding on whether the focus is going to be on the horror genre or more of a teen life montage for our final project. However we’ve pitched more onto the horror genre just because of the previous success that I’ve seen personally. Our “The Watcher” film received a 4.5 star overall and received top 3. The horror genre allows us to experiment with suspense, mystery, and emotional intensity, all while keeping the audience on edge, which is what we intend and will try to accomplish with this final project coming on the way. The vision is to create a short but impactful story that feels complete in just a few minutes. With careful attention to atmosphere, sound, and visuals, we want to immerse viewers in a world of tension and unexpected twists.
Final Thoughts
This project has been an incredible journey, combining everything we’ve learned so far. We hope you guys are as excited as we are with this upswinging project, as we’ve already demonstrated in a previous blog post one of the scenes setting being in a vibrant red living room, and picture of the costume the killer could be using, nothing is final yet, however it is a big step in the right direction and we will for sure keep you guys posted if any change happens.
