Blog #43: One Day Before Filming – The Script is Complete!

Hey everyone, Adrian here! With our first big filming day coming up tomorrow, I’m excited to announce that the script for Fading Into You is officially done! After weeks of brainstorming, adjusting scenes, and making sure everything flows smoothly, we’ve locked in the final version. Now, all that’s left is bringing it to life.

What’s in the Script?

Our story follows a memory-based romance, shifting between the past and present as two characters, Adrian and Tati, reflect on how they met and fell for each other. The film starts with them at the beach in the present day, reminiscing about their first date—which, in a creative twist, happened at the exact same location. From there, we fade into the past, seamlessly transitioning between key memories that shaped their relationship.

We’ve worked hard to incorporate different locations to add variety and depth to the story. These include:

  • The beach (past and present) – The most meaningful setting, tying everything together.
  • The school – A classic “first glance” moment where Adrian and Tati start noticing each other.
  • A friend’s house – A casual hangout where Tati confesses her crush to her friends.
  • The mall – A chance encounter that leads to an awkward but cute interaction (and a bit of foreshadowing).

One of the biggest creative decisions was making sure these transitions felt natural—like memories flowing into each other, rather than just a series of disconnected scenes.

Final Additions & Details

We’ve also finalized some key details that will make the story more immersive, like:

  • A subtle foreshadowing moment in the mall scene where Tati picks out a dress—one that Adrian will later see her wearing on their first date.
  • The symbolism in our outfits—how our clothing changes to reflect the evolution of our relationship.
  • Bicycles in the opening and closing scenes to create an old-school, nostalgic feel as we ride to the beach together.

What’s Next?

With the script done, tomorrow is all about execution. We’ll be filming one of the biggest scenes—the school lunch scene, where Adrian and Tati first interact. It’s a small moment, but it sets everything into motion.

We’ll make sure to document the filming process, so stay tuned for behind-the-scenes updates. The vision is finally coming to life, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you all!
