Blog #52: CCR Alternative Plan – A Film Within a Film

Hey everyone, Adrian here! This isn’t your ordinary blog about the production, but I decided to go a little ahead and change the CCR idea a little and make it easier. As we get closer to wrapping up our project, we’ve been working on our CCR (Creative Critical Reflection), and due to time constraints, we’re likely going with an alternative approach—but don’t worry, it’s still going to be fun, creative, and cinematic.

The Concept

Instead of a traditional sit-down CCR, we’re going to turn it into a film within a film—playing off a horror movie/robbery theme, but with a comedic twist. Here’s the plan:

  1. Normal CCR Start – I introduce myself like usual, stating my name and candidate number. There’s a clapboard ready to mark the beginning of the video… but it never actually clips.
  2. The Kidnapping – Out of nowhere, I get kidnapped! The screen cuts to black, and when I come to, I’m in a dark, eerie room with figures dressed in all black standing around me.
  3. The Interrogation – A mysterious person sits across the table from me and tells me to “relax, this is part of the production.” The vibe is serious, like I’m being questioned in some sort of secret operation.
  4. The Big Twist – Suddenly, the “bodyguards” turn on the lights, the atmosphere shifts to bright and cheerful, and everything feels normal again. The person across from me begins asking me the official Cambridge CCR questions, and the rest of the CCR plays out like a fun, creative interview.

What’s Next?

The script for this is still in the works, and we might tweak some details as we go. More updates will come soon, but for now, this is the direction we’re headed. Can’t wait to bring this idea to life!
