Blog #67: The Process of Finalizing a Logo

Hey everyone, Adrian here! After a lot of back and forth, we’ve finally locked in the official logo for Fading Into You! I’m really excited to share how the process went and the changes we made along the way. Check out the image below to see the evolution of the logo from start to finish.

The Placeholder Logos

The first placeholder was more of a temporary image than an actual logo. At that point, we didn’t even have a concrete title for the film, so it served as a visual stand-in during the early planning stages.

The second placeholder came after we settled on the title, but honestly, it was pretty rushed. I was focusing more on filming and putting the new blog site together, so it didn’t get much attention design-wise.

The First Draft

The first draft of the final logo was originally going to be the official one, but something about it just felt off. The way the word “YOU” was written looked a bit sinister, which didn’t match the romantic and heartfelt vibe we were going for. I knew I needed to make some changes to better fit the film’s tone.

The Final Logo

After some tweaking and revisions, I came up with the final logo that you see now. The most noticeable change is the addition of the film icon, which not only makes it more visually appealing but also emphasizes the cinematic aspect of the project. The text is cleaner, and the overall look just feels more polished and fitting for our film.

Take a Look at the Logo Evolution

Here’s a quick visual breakdown of how the logo progressed from placeholder to final version:

What’s Next?

Now that the logo is set, I’ll be incorporating it into the blog site and final film. It’s a small touch, but it makes everything feel more complete and professional. Let me know what you think!
