Hey everyone, Adrian here! We finally wrapped up filming the mall scene for Fading Into You, and let me tell you, it was a bit chaotic—but we got it done! There were some unexpected script changes during production, but it all came together in the end.
What Changed
The original plan was to have a more dramatic and flirty encounter between Adrian and Tati, but once we got to filming, we decided to make the dialogue feel more natural and casual. We also swapped out the pink dress idea (as talked about in previous blog) for a simple shirt to keep the scene more laid-back and realistic. Plus, it ties in nicely with the beach scene since it’s the same shirt Tati will wear on their first date.
The Chaos of Filming
Filming at Hollister was straight-up wild. The store is pretty small, and being a big group of teenagers filming while customers were shopping definitely drew some attention. The store employees started getting on us to wrap it up, and it felt like we were racing against time before the manager got really mad. Luckily, we finished just in time!
Funny Bloopers Coming Soon!
The blooper reel from this session is going to be hilarious. One of the funniest (but also kind of annoying) moments was when a random kid started yelling “BAKA” during a take, completely messing up the shot. We got a bunch of different angles that turned out to be pure chaos, so definitely stay tuned for that! The blooper video is coming soon, and you don’t want to miss it!
What’s Next?
Well, we’re practically done with filming! All that’s left is editing the film together, recording the voiceovers, and finishing up the CCR. Also, I’ve been working on a new logo for the blogsite—it’s something small but I’m really proud of how it’s coming out. More updates on that soon!
