Hey everyone, Adrian here! I’m excited to give you an inside look at the making of “Lost Bird,” our 30-second no-dialogue short film. This project has been a mix of creativity, problem-solving, and a lot of fun as we worked to bring the story to life.
The Concept
“Lost Bird” follows a mysterious event surrounding a lost pet bird named Chicki. The film explores themes of loss, discovery, and problem-solving, leading to a final moment of celebration.
The cast includes Tatiana and me as the main actors, while Alan (my brother) handled the camerawork. From the very start, we knew this project would challenge us to tell a compelling story without dialogue, relying purely on visuals, acting, and direction.
Filming the Core Scenes
Bringing this story to life took hours of planning and production. Our team worked hard to ensure that every shot captured the emotion and message we wanted to convey.
From setting up the lighting to perfecting each scene’s framing, we made sure that every detail contributed to the mood of the film. While the project was short, the process behind it was anything but simple!
Behind the Scenes (BTS) Photos
As part of this journey, we documented our progress with some behind-the-scenes shots to show the effort that went into every detail of the production. Below are some of those moments captured during filming:
- Photo 1: The director and crew setting up the scene, ensuring the lighting was just right for the mood we were aiming to capture.
- Photo 2: Our lead actor going over the script in between takes, prepping for a crucial emotional scene.
- Photo 3: The team gathered for a quick review of the shots to ensure everything was coming together perfectly.
Each photo reflects the dedication and attention to detail that everyone involved contributed to the project.
